Unsurprisingly, as a child I didn’t dream of running a debt advisory.  I dreamt about two things, becoming the president of the world (clearly ambitious from a young age of 8) or being a businesswoman, although I had no idea in what field. Goes back to the debate of are entrepreneurs made or born?

Once I realised that becoming president of the world wasn’t a feasible career path, I settled for the noble notion of “saving the world” (perhaps too many superhero movies). With this in mind, I pursued a degree in Pharmaceutical chemistry at a prestigious university in London with the idea that I would create the next lifesaving drug – however, my perspective took a turn when I discovered that many of the diseases we face are caused by the food and products we consume daily. This led me to believe that we simply need a better way of living. More information should be provided to consumers with better ethical goals, non-carcinogenic products and people over profit mentality.

Driven by the desire to make a positive impact, I sought a position here I could influence change by connecting with individuals in positions of power who could drive internal change. Fast forward 12 years later, and I find myself at Hectocorn – where our clientele consists of highly successful individuals at the top of their respective industries, embodying what I like to call the “human versions of Hectocorn”. In case you’re unfamiliar with the term, Hectocorn refers to a company with a worth of 100 billion, and our clients possess exactly that – the mindset that anything and everything is possible.

My career journey has taken me from childhood dreams of global leadership to the pursuit of saving the world through pharmaceutical chemistry, and finally to my current role at Hectocorn – I hope to have the opportunity to continue to collaborate with influential individuals and contribute to positive change.
